The City of Finlayson will be conducting routine hydrant flushing throughout the city during May 5-16. Previous dates in April didn't work due to weather conditions. This necessary maintenance helps ensure the continued reliability of our water system by removing sediment and verifying hydrants are functioning properly.
What You Need to Know:

Hydrant flushing may cause temporary discoloration in your water. This is normal and not harmful.

If you notice discolored water, let your cold water run for a few minutes until it clears.

Avoid doing laundry during flushing in your area to prevent possible staining.

Water pressure may fluctuate temporarily in some areas.
