City Hall is generally open Monday - Friday from 8AM-2PM.

CITY CLERK & DEPUTY CLERK

The Clerk serves as the link between Council and citizens as well as employees.

The Office of Clerk for the City of Finlayson provides clerical, record keeping and administrative functions to the Council. In addition, this individual performs many tasks that assist in guiding and managing the operation of local government policy and law. Below are just a few of the responsibilities of the City of Finlayson Clerk.

MEET YOUR CITY CLERK- Liz

I recently joined the City of Finlayson as the City Clerk and am proud to serve as the “glue” of the City! As I’m new to the role, I’m learning a lot and encourage questions from the community—they help me grow and better serve Finlayson.

I bring over ten years of finance and administrative experience in the non-profit sector, primarily in service industries. I’m currently completing my Associate’s degree and plan to pursue a Bachelor’s in Accounting, with the goal of earning my CPA certification one day (we should all have big goals!).

I’ve lived just outside Finlayson for nearly 15 years, and the city holds a special place in my heart. Both of my daughters have been crowned Little Miss Finlayson—my oldest years ago and my youngest just this past year. Over the years, I’ve served on the Finlayson Community Club, worked at various local businesses, and grown to love the strong sense of community and culture that Finlayson embodies.

In my spare time, you’ll find me juggling our blended family’s academic, athletic, and social activities. I cherish quiet late nights and early mornings to study and stay on top of my homework. I also enjoy attending church, volunteering with the PTO, rock picking (not just for agates!), hanging out at the lake, and exploring the North Shore with the love of my life and our four girls.
