Cold Weather Rule Notice – Courtesy Notification
The City of Finlayson provides this notice as a courtesy to all residential water customers. Minnesota’s Cold Weather Rule (Minn. Stat. §216B.097) prevents utilities from disconnecting service for eligible low-income customers during the period from October 15 through April 15.
While water service disconnections are not typically enforced by our utility, we provide this information to ensure all residents are aware of their rights.
