Friends Of Historic Finlayson
Bid request for exterior renovation of the Finlayson Depot
6486 Front Street, Finlayson, MN 55735
Building is 55’long, 16’wide. Side walls are 14’high, gable ends to peak are17’high.
All siding lumber is full length and between 8 and 12 inches wide.
Battens are full length and 2-1/2” wide.
Remove windows
Remove existing siding (board and batten)
Remove existing soffit and fascia
Replace fascia and related trim
Fascia may be able to be stripped and painted pending closer inspection.
Replace siding and batten strips
Wrap and replace new windows
Replace window trim
Replace base trim
All materials (except fasteners) and new windows will be provided.
Lumber is 1” kiln dried, rough sawn pine.
This is a community project that is being completed by a small group of community volunteers, with help and financial assistance from community members, businesses and grants.
We are hoping to have this work completed by mid to late summer.
We are a small non profit and would welcome some or all donated labor. We are a 501c3, so any donated material or labor would be tax deductible.
